Casa Serenata

Casa Serenata is a private, architect-designed Pueblo-style home in the gated Casas de San Juan community, directly behind the Santa Fe Opera and near Tesuque. The home looks toward the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the Badlands, with the Plaza, Canyon Road, and Santa Fe’s restaurants and galleries about 12 minutes away.

 

From sunrise over the Sangres to the changing color of the mountains at sunset, the setting makes even an evening walk feel like part of the experience. Casa Serenata offers a quieter way to experience the city: close to its art, dining, Opera, and culture, yet removed enough to return each evening to mountain views, juniper and piñon, and wide dark skies.

The interiors pair Southwestern character with a tailored, collected sensibility: warm natural textures, handwoven textiles, live-edge wood tables, and original artwork set against soaring 17-foot ceilings. The result is a refined, welcoming home with depth, warmth, and an easy sense of place. As the evenings turn cool, the traditional kiva fireplace brings a soft glow to the great room—a natural place to settle in with a glass of wine, a good book, or conversation after a day in town. A well-equipped kitchen, generous seating, thoughtful lighting, and hotel-quality linens make everyday life feel effortless.

For guests who mix work with travel, Casa Serenata includes a private, light-filled executive office with independent climate control. Set a few steps from the main residence along a covered walkway, it offers uncommon separation and quiet while remaining part of the home’s daily rhythm.

A spacious desk, ergonomic seating, built-in shelving, a printer, high-speed Wi-Fi, and garden views create a comfortable setting for focused work, video calls, writing, or creative projects. A second work area in the main living space gives two people room to work independently, then close the laptop and return to the pleasures of Santa Fe.
